Living Arrangements: It is unknown where Nightmare lives. He simply seems to appear wherever he desires to. His actual current residence is near the Fountain of Dreams on Pop Star, but it is well hidden from the naked eye.
Personality:
Nightmare is a smug opportunist who is simply bent on contaminating the hopes and dreams of all he can. It is unknown for how long he has existed, but his longetivity has attributed to him believing that he is never-ending and unstoppable. He enjoys messing with people's dreams- it is, after all, his nature to do so- and is thus more than a little sadistic.
Nightmare is not over-confident however, knowing that he should keep his defenses up, only lowering them to attack, and even then trying to keep himself out of harm's way when he does. He applies this to the way he acts, maintaining a calm and cool demeanor almost all the time to the public eye, but occasionally letting his more natural and sinister behavior show, especially around those that are already skeptical, which usually leads to misunderstandings of the 'boy who cried wolf' type.
Backstory:
Nightmare is an ancient and powerful force that is attempting to infest the Fountain of Dreams in Popstar with nightmares in order to terrorize others- and thus better feed himself. That aside, the powers that he's garnered over the years are formidable, but his nature is to use them in short, controlled bursts- if he ever actually needs to. He produces nightmares naturally to increase and spread his power, but does not have them manifest outside of dreams themselves.
Nightmare's formidable presence is one that can be detected by someone who knows their way around the Fountain of Dreams, like King Dedede. Despite that, Nightmare does the best he can to keep any motives and plans he concocts hidden.
Despite being an ancient creature, other than existing as the several nightmares around the universe, Nightmare's existance has been pretty uneventful, merely waiting for the opportunity to infest the fountain of dreams, causing a 'dream genocide' and a 'nightmare overpoppulation' by tapping into the power of the Star Rod.
Anything Else?:
[x] Projects a physical illusion of himself to teach classes. (may or may not be TACs as NPCs)
[x] Due to his efforts, comes off as an irresponsible and carefree teacher to the people he meets for the first time, except for Dreamland residents.
[x] His concealed form is that of a floating purplish-pink orb with stars decorating it, and that is the way he would appear to anyone should they find him in Popstar. However, this is not his true appearance.
[x] Has enough power that upon irresponsible and uncontrolled release, can destroy the majority of a satellite- however he has had years to hone his powers that it would only be his dying breath that would trigger such an explosion.
[x] Nightmare enhancing game mechanic and dream intervention mechanic will be discussed later in game, with mods and with muns. :V;; But so far it seems that the idea is liked, and nothing will happen without other muns' consent.
